Throughout the presidential election we often heard the phrase ‘Yes we can!” But the phrase we know here at Thunder Mountain is “Yes we are!” Yes we, the PeaceWeavers, are transforming people’s lives and helping bring a new sustainable lifestyle to the Planet! And, yes you are the one who can help us do this!
Yes we are… with your help, serving the local community through our PeaceWeaver Organic Farm and CSA program, Talking Stick Circles, Full Moon Celebrations, Sweat Lodges, counseling and social activism!
Yes we are… with your help, serving the greater community with our Kids Peace Camps, Meditation Retreats, Peace Retreats, Cleansing Retreats, our 5th Annual Natural Building Colloquium, our 13th Annual Summer Peace Gathering, and our 18th annual Princeton Peace Gathering!
Yes we are… with your help, serving individuals to awaken to strong physical, mental, and emotional health creating a true sustainable health-style! When people experience the Love and Support here at Thunder Mountain they naturally open up and return to themselves! They don’t just feel hope, but realize real, tangible changes in their lives and then see the effect that this “birth of energy” has on those they love.
After 18 years… yes we are making a greater impact on people’s lives and the Spiritual and Ecological Evolution of the Planet! We have organically grown to be a wholistic sustainable school, educating and empowering many thousands of people to live in Peace and Harmony. As PeaceWeavers we teach and model natural practices for a Balanced World: organic farming, eating a compassionate healthy diet, using clear communication to live in loving relationships, and building with natural materials. All of these practices bring balance to our lives now and to the generations to come!
And, yes you are part of the PeaceWeaver team that makes all this possible! You can play your part by financially supporting the important work that we do here at Thunder Mountain and throughout the country. Your donation is a loving gift, a holiday gift to yourself, your family, and to the future.
Yes you can support this work by becoming a Circle of Support member, making a monthly donation and receiving discounts on all PeaceWeaver Retreats and events that you attend. Or, you can make a one time donation that will go towards staffing the Thunder Mountain Retreat Sanctuary, purchasing new solar panels and windmill for the center, finishing the natural buildings and much, much more.
Yes we are deeply grateful to those that contributed donations throughout this year which allowed us to renew & strengthen the Longhouse, our main building, with repairs to the siding, a fresh coat of paint, and a new metal roof over the entire building!
And, yes we are very excited about 2009!!! We’ll continue all of our programs, retreats, and gatherings and we’re also in preparations to initiate a “Wholistic School for Sustainable Living”, offering more specific workshops and retreats on gardening, diet, relationships, and natural building. 2009 will mark the publication of our first 2 books, Weaving Peace and Bhante’s Diet!!! The future will ask more from each of us to care for and create every aspect of our lives. We are here to help you help yourself. We are devoted to modeling the principals of simplicity, kindness, honor, and respect for all life. With your help we will continue to make a difference and as Margaret Meade stated:
